We are pleased to state that, as Azerbaijan Society of Clinical Laboratory Specialists (ASCLS), we successfully concluded 2025 with many achievements and successes. Throughout the year, the large-scale scientific programs, international cooperation projects, congresses, and continuous education initiatives we carried out marked an important stage of development for our laboratory medicine community.

The successful organization of the 3^rd Azerbaijan International Congress of Laboratory Medicine & Lab Expo (AZLMC & LAB EXPO 2025) in 2025 was a great source of pride for us. The scientific program prepared under the slogan “For a Sovereign Azerbaijan!”, together with the high number of participants, international collaborations and the active involvement of young researchers, led the congress to be recognized as one of the most respected laboratory medicine events in the region.

As in previous years, close scientific cooperation was maintained with EFLM, IFCC, KBUD, KLIMUD, and other international organizations. The international activities of ASCLS in 2025 were especially noteworthy. Our participation in the EFLM 2025 Congress in Belgium, along with several of our members receiving EFLM scholarships, confirms the growing recognition of our laboratory medicine professionals within the European scientific community.

The ASCLS delegation represented our country with active participation at the KLIMUD 2025 – 8th National Clinical Microbiology Congress and the 5th National Virology Days, held in Antalya on 19-23 November 2025. The delivery of keynote lectures by four of our colleagues, along with the participation of our experts as panel chairs in various sessions, further strengthened the position of the Azerbaijani scientific school.

As ASCLS, we also represented our country with a large delegation at the KBUD 2025 Clinical Biochemistry & LAB Expo Congress, held in Antalya, Türkiye, on 24-27 November 2025. The Chair of the ASCLS Executive Board delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and our specialists chaired several major scientific panels.

In light of all these achievements, we are pleased to announce that the 4^th AZLMC & LAB EXPO 2026 will be held from 30 April to 2 May 2026 at the Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard. This congress will once again take place with broad participation from international partners and will further strengthen our country’s regional leadership in the field of laboratory medicine.

For the first time in our country and in the region, one of the important scientific meetings of a European medical scientific society will be held in Azerbaijan. In this regard, the Executive Board of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) has decided to organize a scientific symposium within our congress entitled “New Trends in Laboratory Medicine”. Within the framework of AZLMC & LAB EXPO 2026, a high-level international EFLM Symposium will be organized, featuring lectures by world-renowned scientists from various European countries. This program will create a unique opportunity for high-level scientific exchange with the participation of Europe’s leading experts.

In addition, other scientific panels of the 4^th International Azerbaijan Congress of Laboratory Medicine & Lab Expo will be organized, as is tradition, with the support and direct participation of the KBUD and KLIMUD societies from Türkiye.

AZLMC & LAB EXPO 2026 will include a wide range of interesting symposia, panel presentations, and conferences covering the fields of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Pathology and Genetics. Engaging social programs are also planned for congress participants.
